Mission: Impossible was a tv show of the ’60s and ’70s and each episode started the same: This is the mission if you choose to do it. Your mission, Dan/Jim, should you decide to accept it, is…
…As always, should you or any of your IM Force be caught or killed, the Secretary will disavow any knowledge of your actions. This tape will self-destruct in five seconds. Good luck, Dan/Jim.
Just as the show was filled with espionage, trickery, and danger with seemingly, insurmountable obstacles; so our enemy; the shadow of death psalm 119, aims to destroy and annihilate us. Giving us the illusion from childhood that the world is not a safe place, and no one can be trusted.
No matter where you find yourself in this life, your Creator knows your trauma, challenges, and doubt while continuing to hold on to a mission that is intended just for you, until you are ready for it. Your Creator is aware of the battle within and the clamoring of the inner voice. God-given desires that have now turned into lust that is not satisfied, things we try to do in secret and seem too large to disassemble.
When the mission was given to Dan/Jim it was understood that should anything go wrong; all ties would be cut as if they had never existed. Blessedly for us, our Creator will always vouch for us, declaring our worth whether we are in captivity, still locked in our mental and emotional hell, or have broken free. Our mission awaits us and we remain the child of the King.
Protection and an escape plan are always available and your mission ________ should you decide to take it… Trust in the Creator, no matter what trickery or danger surround you.
